Greetings from the Missionary Training Center

Hello Mom, Dad, Reece, Remi, Roxy and Truman!

How is everything in Visalia? Everything here is great!

I'm doing well and my testimony is growing each day. I've learned so much in this first week that it seems like I've already been gone for a year!

When I first got here Reece and I had a good cry but after I walked through that door into the next two years of my life I was welcomed by open arms and I immediately started feeling comforted. Ever since then it's been getting better and better.

I really have appreciated the letters you have been sending! it's great to hear from you all. So I'm going to attempt to answer all your questions...

I have been slowly eating the goodies i brought, and yes, of course I'm sharing. : )

I have been tired, mainly when I first got here but i usually get between 7 and 8 hours of sleep every night (that's with going to bed at 10:30 and waking up between 6 and 6:30) so I have energy each day.

We have gym time four times a week and when I don't I work out in the mornings with my companion. By the way my companion is Elder Sean Patrick Smith and he is an awesome companion and friend. he's from Pleasant Grove, Utah and will remain my companion only during my stay at the mtc.

And mom, Elder Daniel Dellucci is in my district and I have become good friends with him, my companion and my entire district of twelve missionaries! I will be sending you pic.'s soon of all of us at the temple. By the way today is my p-day (Tues.) and we went to the temple this morning as a district and did an endowment session. That was a great experience being in the session with eleven other missionaries! And yes I have been writing in my journal every day, and recording my experiences as I go. Just curious, but I was hoping to get my CTR ring soon and was wondering if it was coming. Oh, and will you please send a copy of my Patriarchal Blessing?? I need it for my mission. My blessing is in the church file folder in my desk and it is in a big envelope. thank you for your help. :)

You are the only ones who have written me and that's fine with me so far! I enjoy hearing from you! So what's all this framing stuff I'm hearing about? I got a letter from my mission home telling me they were looking forward to me coming.

Dad, Saturdays are no different than other days but Sundays and p-days are. Sunday is full of church meetings and p-day is time for writing letters, studying and just getting ready for the week. Tonight I am singing in the choir for the devotional where there will be a general authority. I'm excited for that!

Please tell everyone and anyone that I say hi and that I am doing well! I can't believe how much my testimony has grown and how many times a day I feel the spirit! I am closer to God than I ever have been before!
Well, I'm out of time for email but mom I hope you get that job, that would be awesome! let me know how it goes. :) Dad that building inspection sounds like a great opportunity! Reece... how was efy? Remi, thank you so much for your letter! I loved it! I love you all and I will send you pictures and a written letter soon. Take care, and keep the faith!

Love,

Elder Ryan Miller

The "framing things" Ryan was asking about is why we took the photo of Remington and Roxy -- To show him our new "Missionary Shelf" with his framed letter and photos.
